What to make for Thanksgiving! Easy Side/ “Doctored up” Jazzy Cranberry and Leek Wild Rice

Hey Sweet Lifers! This rice dish is an easy side for your Thanksgiving fare. It is part of the entire Thanksgiving series I featured in my column. All you need is a few pantry staples and a few minutes to create a delish dish to compliment your turkey and dressing!
What you’ll need:
2 Packages of Ready to go wild rice
1 cup of dried cranberries ( mine are orange infused!)
1/2 cup chopped leek
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup slivered carrots
1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
pinch of red pepper flakes
2 fresh bay leaves
handful of thyme and oregano and sage
1/2 cup of white wine (Chardonay)
1/2 cup of chicken stock

Put all together and simmer, when finished infusing pull out the herbs and fluff and enjoy!
