“Alisa’s Sweet Life.”
It had to be you”…. “I’ve got the world on a string”…. These are just a few of my favorite things. Remember last month I asked you about cleaning your life up and finding your passion while ringing in the New Year? I mentioned having been asked to do a one woman, one night only show to benefit our new theatre in Sugar Land The Imperial Theatre. On February 18th at 7pm, I will take the stage as none other than myself in a show entitled “Alisa’s Sweet Life.”
My plans are to share with you stories from my childhood, sprinkle in a few moments of laughter and even perhaps, a few tears along our journey. I mostly hope that you will find spending an evening listening to me as entertaining as you have found following my column over the past four years.
Finding your passion is simple. Or rather, I should say, it is a simple thing to those that have found it, which really means it’s not that simple at all. I have found mine, and I have been one of the lucky ones to not only have found what God gave me as a real talent, but I have further been gifted enough to develop these talents in ways that enrich my life, give back to my community, and allow me to make a living.
Incredible, really, to be able to have accomplished these things, and I thank God daily for allowing me to be born at this time when being a woman is celebrated and my life’s work as a artist is in demand.
A few years ago, I was working on developing a seminar called “Creating Your Sweet Life.” I wrote a little and planned a little, but I got distracted with other projects and the timing was off. I went in a different direction with my work with children with cancer, developing the Small Miracles projects and writing a song for them. Yes, life last year was busy, and the idea of sharing what I have done and continually do daily to keep me creatively challenged and in demand was not exactly on the top of my priorities list.
Fast forward a few months: a request to write, direct and perform in a one night only show and whew…. voila! I found myself ready for the challenge. In addition to presenting you with an entertaining evening filled with stories from my childhood and a few other surprises, I will be offering a registration to a seminar I will be hosting to help you find out what you are great at and how to develop that into a life-changing career. Do you want to truly wake up and never feel like you are working again? That is my life; that is my Sweet Life. Everyone can live like this. You only have to tap into the talents God has given you and uncover what you alone are meant to give to the world. I’ll share with you on February 18th what I have done and more of me than I have ever shared publicly before. Then, I’ll offer you an opportunity to spend a different afternoon with me this spring where we will work through how you can create as I have a path to living your own Sweet Life!
The seminar will be a close look at personality, talent and just how understanding who you are and how you see the world is unique. Then, reveal how tapping into your talents, when discovered and then, developed, will transform your life from ordinary into extraordinary! The way to living a create and spirit-filled life is by understanding how to make a living doing exactly what you love and are indeed best suited to doing. That is what all the fuss is about with Living a Sweet Life. Pretty simple when explained and followed. So, I am excited to see you at the show.
