“The List” Top ten things to do in January with Auntie A! 2018

Purchase a family pass to The Museum of Fine Art and create a family calendar for the whole year planned with a monthly visit to tour the traveling artist featured and talk a few classes to enrich the whole family.
It’s time to remulch and refurbish the beds in the yard… at least in the front! You’d be surprised at how much of a difference planting a few yellow and purple plants brighten up your curb appeal during these few colder months!
Schedule with your travel agent or begin looking online to plan for the Spring Break trip mid-March. Now is the time to land in some amazing places for a fraction of the price!
On my nightside table now…Max Lucado’s “More to your Story” and “God’s Perfect Timing” by Rev. J Martin.
Make ahead my Enchilada Sloppy Joe’s and you will have one less thing to worry with come suppertime. Paired with a clean fresh salad made from lettuces and radishes and your all set! (see recipe) The family will love them and they are so easy to make!
Start going through those closets and creating your give away, keep and throw away piles! Plan for an hour each day doing some sort of organizing and soon your entire house will be done!
This year for us we are going through the attic and after Harvey struck us and we got a new roof, we have yet to go delving into the many boxes of 27 years a marriage and children can bring. I am going to do it though and use my throw away, keep and give away approach to making an organized attic for my home. These few months that we have cooler are the only ones we have to do this task, so if you’re like me and need to do it… now is the only time.
Drop off little goodie bags with valentines and candy to the nursing home so the elderly will feel some extra love early next month.
Collect all your magazines and tear out the articles that you will be using and throw away/recycle the rest.
Take the children and your husband/wife out on a picnic. NO CELLPHONES ALLOWED!
